This post is about hydration (hint, a post about dehydration may be on the way). Captain America is right on about water consumption. Small and consistent hydration will keep you healthy and hydrated.

If you chug a bunch of water before a workout or all of a sudden you realize you forgot to drink water so you suck 24 oz down that’s great . .  but the truth is if you are looking to adequately hydrate that ship probably sailed and what you will need is a bathroom pretty soon after as that water goes right through you. Still – drink that water but really aim for consistent hydration throughout the day.

Feeling bad for dissing water for not “tasting” good? Water is amazing and before you know it you will want water over juice, soda, diet soda… because nothing is better than water.


How much water do you need? Well some say women need 9 – 8 Oz glasses per day and men need 13. Or you can use this formula take your body weight and divide by 2 and then aim for that many oz per day.


Teas that don’t have caffeine can count towards that intake and seltzers. If you are struggling with taste -add fruits such as lemon, lime, orange, kiwi slices, berries. Even adding a pinch of himalayan salt is good for you. Try to stay away from any processed or chemical enhancers. No crazy chemicals.
